Scrunched up notes glued with squashed banana to the bottoms of school bags will be a thing of the past, thanks to the good people at Active School Apps. This versatile app-based system makes communication a breeze for a school community, saving a whole lot of paper at the same time.

Of course, a product as innovative and user friendly as Active School Apps needs a website and marketing to match. This is where Orion came in.

We got stuck right into it and developed a complete design and branding overhaul, from the logo and website to brochures, banners, business cards and more. The result is much more on-trend, bright and appealing to the target audience of parents, P&C committees, principals and teachers.

The brief was to clearly explain how the product works, highlight the features and benefits of the product, and outline the steps to getting in on the action.

In developing the website, our resident back-end expert Jon, built simple site navigation to gives users a taste of how easy the Apps will be to use. The site uses responsive design and has a handy navigation menu when viewing the site on an iPhone for a more convenient user experience.

That’s just for starters though. The site is designed to seamlessly lead visitors into the first step of purchase, which is to request a free product demo. The demo allows the user to see exactly how handy these school mobile apps can be, and to share the demo with others at the next staff or P&C meeting.

The designs created by our designer Sam build a strong brand for Active School Apps for all angles of their informative marketing strategy, including banner stands for conferences and trade shows to their Facebook page.

The only part we couldn’t solve was the problem of the squashed banana. We’ll leave that to the likes of these guys
