Let’s Ride

I'm flying jack, I'm really flying.

It was a dark and stormy night on the 5th of March 2011. Ben was going over his game plan for the next day, the big ride. He remembered back to his childhood when a freak bike accident involving fairy floss and a spider prevented him from completing a bike race. He still gets goosebumps even thinking about a two wheeled mode of transport.

The sounds of a thousand bikes could be heard whirling in the distance. He knew that he had to ride for the kids at ‘Hear the Children‘.

Although he hadn’t touched a bike for years, his mentor and coach, who was a mean old bastard (who deep down had a heart of gold) taught him that impossible things can happen. Like an awesome website can be built in as little as 3 weeks. So too can an out of shape web developer take on the world of bike riding and conquer!

On the 6th of March 2011, he is clicking his shoes into the pedals, focusing on the glory and fame that comes with this ride. The ride of a lifetime. The Tour de Hills.

On another note, we launched a website on the 15th of December called “Tour de Hills” it is an interactive website for the Tour de Hills Bike Classic being held on the 6th of March at the Rouse Hill Town Centre and makes it really easy for riders to join up and interact with their “fans”. The Tour de Hills website was created as a good will gesture to a great cause that helps hearing impaired kids learn to talk. It’s featured in the Hills News newspaper.

Have a look and let us know what you think. If you’re up for it then why not have a go? There is a few routes from a 13km family friendly event, right up to a 100km event for the experts.
